Learning to drive in a car with automatic transmission is considerably easier than in a manual car because there is no clutch or gear-changing to worry about - just an accelerator and a brake.
As an 'automatic driving school', an increasing number of our pupils take the option. Some believe that working the gears may be too much trouble (and when driving in heavy traffic we can certainly appreciate that), or simply want to concentrate on the road. Others just want to learn and pass their test as soon as possible.
If you are facing the choice between learning to drive in an automatic car, or not learning to drive at all - we recommend you have your first automatic driving lesson and take it from there. And the great thing is that the vast majority of cars now come with an automatic option - so there's plenty of buying choice as well.
